I want to explain more about the benefits of using a mortgage broker, and how we find the perfect mortgage for our clients from a huge range of lenders.
I often talk to new clients about how we can use the mainstream lenders you will know from the High Street but also many others that you may never even have heard of. Looking through the mortgage applications we have submitted, it struck me that many people may not realise how many different lenders we work with. The chart below may give you an idea of how many, each coloured segment is a different mortgage lender we have submitted an application to this year.
As you may expect, the larger bands relate to the well know lenders, such as Nationwide, Halifax and Santander, who receive the most applications. But some of the others included here are Cambridge Building Society, Stafford Building Society, Vida Homeloans, Kent Reliance, Darlington Building Society, Earl Shilton Building Society, Precise Mortgage, and many other lesser-known mortgage lenders.
These lenders are typically more flexible with unusual circumstances and have helped many of our clients purchase their dream property, when they thought they wouldn’t be able to.
If you are wondering whether to use a mortgage broker or not, remember that there are many more mortgage lenders in the UK than you would expect and the perfect deal for you may just be one from a lender you’ve never even heard of.

As a mortgage is secured against your home or property, it could be repossessed if you do not keep up mortgage repayments.
